Gavin Isaacs is the third full-time chief executive officer appointed by the company since it rebranded to Entain in 2020.
An industry veteran, Gavin Isaacs, is preparing to take the helm at Entain, one of the largest betting and gaming companies globally. To ensure he can dedicate his full attention to the role, Isaacs has confirmed that he will step down from Galaxy Gaming’s Board of Directors on 30th August.
Isaacs Steps Down from Galaxy Gaming to Focus on Entain
Isaacs has played a key role in guiding Galaxy Gaming towards success since joining the board in 2019 but will now be stepping down as he prepares to take on his new, more demanding position at Entain on 2nd September.
Isaacs confirmed in July that he would be taking over from interim CEO Stella David, who replaced the previous full-time chief executive, Jette Nygaard-Andersen.
During his time at Galaxy Gaming, the company expanded its global presence and accepted a takeover bid from its rival, Evolution, agreeing to transfer ownership for $85 million. Commenting on Isaacs’ departure, Galaxy Gaming Chair Mark Lipparelli praised him for his significant contribution to the company’s operations.
“He has been an integral part of our success and the company’s growth over his more than five years as a member of the board,” Lipparelli said, praising Isaacs for his unwavering commitment to helping Galaxy Gaming position itself strongly in a competitive market and contributing to many of the company’s successes.
“We thank him for his tremendous insights and expertise, and we wish him the best in his future endeavours with Entain, and wherever else his journey may take him,” Lipparelli added.
A Company Preparing for a New Leadership Era
Isaacs is fully committed to focusing his complete attention on Entain, having already stepped down from his role as Chair at Games Global, although he will remain a non-executive director with the company. In addition to this, Isaacs holds positions at several other companies in various capacities.
Isaacs is a prominent industry veteran, having served in numerous companies throughout his career, including SB Tech, Scientific Games, DraftKings, Bally Technologies, and Aristocrat Technologies.
Meanwhile, David will work closely with Isaacs as he settles into her new position before she transitions to the role of Entain Chair, replacing the outgoing Barry Gibson.
