Representatives from both organisations will participate in the bell-ringing ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange to commemorate the partnership.
Manchester City Football Club has announced a new multi-year partnership with the operator Betway. The agreement, which will commence at the start of the 2024/25 season, designates Betway as the club's Official Global Betting Partner.
To celebrate this collaboration, representatives from both organisations will take part in the iconic bell-ringing ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange.
Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group, and Neal Menashe, CEO of Super Group (Betway's parent company), are set to ring The Opening Bell at 9:30 am EDT during Manchester City's pre-season tour of the US.
This partnership brings Manchester City into Betway's sports sponsorship portfolio, which already includes teams from the Premier League, La Liga, NBA, and other major leagues.
The collaboration will feature various activations and exclusive content opportunities. Betway's branding will be prominently displayed across digital and in-stadium assets. Furthermore, both entities will collaborate to provide training on betting integrity and responsible gambling to all players, coaches, management, and staff at Manchester City.
Commenting on the partnership, Ferran Soriano stated: “We are pleased to announce Betway as our Official Global Betting Partner today. As a globally recognised brand, Betway has a strong pedigree and history of working with high-profile brands within the sports space and we’re excited to work together throughout the partnership.”
Neal Menashe added: “We are absolutely delighted to become Manchester City’s Official Global Betting Partner. This agreement cements our place in the top tier of Premier League partners, ensuring that our Betway brand reaches fans in all corners of the globe.”
In related news, Betway recently formed a partnership with ESA Gaming – a deal that introduced a selection of ESA Gaming's content into targeted markets such as Tanzania, Nigeria, Mozambique, Zambia, and Malawi.
Additionally, Betway recently became the official sponsor of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) in South Africa. The league will now be referred to as the Betway Premiership.
