Altenar wins platform provider approval in Peru
Sportsbook technology supplier Altenar has been certified as a technological platform provider in Peru, extending its regulated footprint in Latin America.
Altenar, a sports betting and iGaming software provider, has received official approval to operate as a technological platform provider in Peru under the country’s new online gambling regulatory framework.
The approval follows a supreme decree published in October 2023, which set out compliance requirements for iGaming operators in the market. Altenar said it was among the first providers to submit its application and met all regulatory standards required for certification.
Latin America expansion
Peru becomes the latest regulated market added to Altenar’s portfolio, as the company continues to pursue certification in jurisdictions across Latin America and beyond.
Marina Zacharopoulou, Compliance Manager at Altenar, said the homologation reflected the company’s ability to navigate regulatory processes and would support further growth in the region, giving operators access to a certified sportsbook solution.
Diego Salas, Sales Manager at Altenar, acknowledged the challenges the new regulation has posed for operators but said the approval would allow the company to support partners in the Peruvian market. He added that Altenar intended to continue backing operators across Latin America.
Founded in 2011, Altenar is a turnkey sportsbook provider that positions itself around flexibility and tailoring solutions for new markets and clients.
