Games Global and Stormcraft Studios launch Thunderstruck Gold Blitz Extreme

Games Global has announced the release of Thunderstruck Gold Blitz Extreme, a new slot from its exclusive partner Stormcraft Studios that merges two of the studio’s established brands.

The title returns players to the Thunderstruck universe, featuring the Viking god Thor across six reels populated with rocks, crystals and lightning bolt symbols. It brings back the Gold Blitz cash collect bonus alongside the Rising Rewards jackpot feature.

Game mechanics

Cash collection is active on every spin in the base game. If a Blitz symbol lands on reel one or six, all cash symbols on the reels are collected. Should Blitz symbols appear on both of those reels without any cash icons present, a respin is triggered with a guaranteed cash prize.

Landing two scatter symbols during base play increases a bonus multiplier by 0.5x, up to a cap of 5x, which then applies to wins during both the Gold Blitz and free spins features. Three or more scatters unlock a choice between free spins with multiplier wilds or Gold Blitz cash collect spins, with total win potential reaching up to 5,500x stake.

The Rising Rewards jackpot can be triggered on any spin where a cash symbol lands without a Blitz icon present. Collecting tokens gives players a chance at one of four jackpot tiers, with the top Mega jackpot paying out up to 5,000x.

Industry comment

Andy Booth, chief product officer at Games Global, said the release reflected the company’s focus on combining strong visuals with engaging gameplay, adding that the team was keen to see player reaction to the title.

Terence Igesund, executive producer at Stormcraft Studios, said the game was expected to appeal to both existing fans of the series and new players.

Stormcraft Studios, founded in 2016, was established by industry figures previously behind titles including Mega Moolah, the Thunderstruck series and Immortal Romance. Games Global operates a network of more than 40 in-house and partner studios, which have produced over 1,300 proprietary games over the past two decades.
