Games Global’s exclusive development studio Gameburger Studios has released Carnaval Drums, a carnival-themed slot that builds on mechanics from its earlier title 12 Masks of Fire Drums.

The 5x3 game runs on 20 paylines, using bells, bars and sevens symbols, and can expand to 48 paylines during its free spins round. Wins are formed when three or more matching symbols land adjacently from left to right, with diamond wild symbols substituting for most other symbols.

Bonus mechanics

Diamond wilds landing in the base game are collected in a pot that can randomly trigger the Epic Strike tower bonus. Epic Strike mask symbols act as scatters and can appear anywhere on the grid, with three or more awarding cash prizes of between 1x and 3,000x the stake. The tower bonus itself can pay out between 5x and 3,000x, or trigger the free spins feature.

Drum free spin bonus symbols landing on reels two and three during the base game raise a multiplier applied throughout the free spins round, up to a maximum of 10x, resetting once the feature ends. The free spins round is triggered when three such symbols land on reels two, three and four, while a separate +1 symbol can award three additional spins.

During the free spins bonus, players can advance through levels by collecting drum symbols, each level adding an extra row to the reels, up to a maximum of eight rows, alongside further bonus spins.

Studio comment

Thomas Rath, Associate Business Development Manager at Gameburger Studios, said the game was designed to capture a festive atmosphere while building on the success of 12 Masks of Fire Drums, combining bold mechanics with the returning Epic Strike feature.

Andy Booth, Chief Product Officer at Games Global, said Carnaval Drums reflected the high-energy, feature-driven style associated with Gameburger Studios, highlighting the combination of reel expansion, multipliers and the Epic Strike and Rising Rewards mechanics as key to the game’s appeal.

Gameburger Studios, founded in 2019 and based in the United States, operates as part of Games Global’s MahiGaming Division, producing content aimed at non-US markets in a US gaming style. Games Global works with 42 in-house and partner studios and says it has produced more than 1,400 proprietary games over the past two decades.
