HungryBear and Yggdrasil launch Greek mythology slot Riches of Olympus
HungryBear Gaming has partnered with Yggdrasil to release Riches of Olympus, a high volatility ancient Greece-themed slot offering wins of up to 10,000x stake.
HungryBear and Yggdrasil have released Riches of Olympus, a new online slot set in ancient Greece, as of 10th October 2024.
The high volatility title uses an any-ways mechanic and can pay out up to a maximum of 10,000 times the player’s stake. Wins are driven by a combination of a tumble feature, a free spins round called the Thunder Bonus, and various multipliers.
Game mechanics
Under the tumble feature, winning symbols are cleared from the board after a successful spin, with remaining symbols dropping down to create space for new ones. This process repeats until no further wins are formed.
Landing three or more scatter symbols triggers the Thunder Bonus, awarding up to 15 free spins. If the maximum number of scatters appears, the bonus starts with a 50x multiplier already applied.
Multiplier symbols worth between 2x and 25x can appear during both the base game and the bonus round, adding to a cumulative multiplier total. Even if a multiplier symbol lands without forming a win, it still boosts any existing multiplier value.
A Golden Global Multiplier symbol can also appear, which multiplies the total in-play multiplier by a value of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x or 20x.
Players who do not wish to wait for scatters to land naturally can pay to enter the Thunder Bonus directly, with costs of 100x, 150x or 650x the stake to guarantee three, four or five scatters respectively.
Technology
The game runs on Yggdrasil’s GATI platform, a development toolkit designed to allow studio partners to build and distribute regulation-ready content.
Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said mythological settings such as Mount Olympus continue to resonate with players and that Riches of Olympus combines a classic art style with engaging bonus mechanics.
Harvey Chamberlain, Product Specialist at HungryBear, said the studio was confident the release would appeal to both players and operators.
The release was announced by Yggdrasil, which was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Sweden, with additional offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar.
