ReelPlay and Yggdrasil launch Western-themed slot American Outlaws MultiMax
ReelPlay has released American Outlaws MultiMax through Yggdrasil's YGG Masters programme, combining a Wild West theme with the MultiMax Game Engagement Mechanic.
ReelPlay has launched American Outlaws MultiMax, a new slot title distributed through Yggdrasil’s YGG Masters programme, the companies announced on 26 November 2024.
The 5-reel, 243-ways game offers a maximum win of 34,213 times the player’s stake, driven by Yggdrasil’s MultiMax Game Engagement Mechanic (GEM), a Bonus Respins feature and a 10K Bonus.
How the mechanics work
Each reel carries its own MultiMax multiplier, which starts at x1 for every new spin. Landing Wild symbols increases the multiplier on the corresponding reel by an additional x1.
Bonus Respins are triggered when six or more safe symbols appear anywhere on the reels. Newly landed safe symbols are held in place and the respin counter resets to three; if a Wild appears during this feature, it boosts the relevant reel’s multiplier and resets the respin count again.
Within the Bonus Respins feature, players can land the Mini, Minor, Major, Grand or 10K Bonus, paying out x10, x50, x250, x2,000 and x10,000 the stake respectively. The 10K Bonus only pays when every reel position is filled with safe symbols.
Operators offering the title can also give players the option to buy directly into the Bonus Respins feature, at a cost of 50x, 75x or 100x the stake, granting three, six or ten multiplier upgrades respectively.
Built on Yggdrasil’s GATI platform
American Outlaws MultiMax runs on GATI, Yggdrasil’s development toolkit designed to give partners a standardised, regulation-ready framework for producing and distributing content quickly across markets.
Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said the studio has an affinity for both classic Western slot themes and MultiMax gameplay, adding that the title’s win potential and 10K Bonus should appeal to players.
David Johnson, CEO of ReelPlay, said the release marks a further collaboration between the two companies, bringing the game to Yggdrasil’s operator network and combining ReelPlay’s game design with Yggdrasil’s MultiMax multiplier mechanic.
Yggdrasil is headquartered in Sweden, with its operational headquarters in Malta and additional offices in Poland and Gibraltar. The company operates under the YGG Masters programme and its GEM portfolio, which currently includes ten mechanics.
