Wizard Games launches Amazon-themed slot Boitata, The Fire Guardian

Wizard Games, part of Aristocrat Interactive, launched a new slot title on 12th September 2024 called Boitata, The Fire Guardian, set in the Amazon rainforest.

The 3x3 slot has five paylines and features symbols including cheetahs, toucans and frogs, alongside the game’s namesake fire serpent, Boitata.

Wild symbol mechanics

The game includes two types of wild symbols. Basic wilds appear only on the first and third reels, while nudging wilds appear exclusively on the middle reel during base gameplay. When a nudging wild lands on the middle reel, it triggers a nudge and respin feature, during which the first and last reels are replaced with only the three highest paying symbols, while the wild stays fixed on the middle reel. This respin can also randomly generate a multiplier of between 1x and 20x.

The title also includes a Free Spins feature that can be randomly triggered during base play, awarding five free spins. During these spins, an L-shaped wild appears in one of four possible positions, with a multiplier of between 1x and 5x applied to each spin.

Portfolio expansion

Boitata, The Fire Guardian adds to Wizard Games’ portfolio, which now spans more than 150 titles, following recent releases Dreamy Divas and Fortune Tree of Wealth.

Dimitar Panteleev, Head of Studio at Wizard Games, said the release lets players journey through the jungle with a range of wild features designed to deliver immersive gameplay, adding that the studio is confident the title will strengthen its expanding portfolio.
