Altenar extends Isle of Man Marathon sponsorship to 2027
Sportsbook provider Altenar has renewed its backing for the Isle of Man Marathon and Half Marathon for a further three years as part of its wider community sports strategy.
Altenar, a sportsbook and iGaming software provider, has extended its sponsorship of the Isle of Man Marathon and Half Marathon through to 2027. The announcement was made on 15th July 2025 ahead of this year’s race, scheduled for 10th August, which marks the third year of the company’s involvement.
The renewed three-year deal forms part of Altenar’s broader effort to invest in local community initiatives on the Isle of Man. This year’s event will feature newly designed medals, t-shirts and trophies, with additional medals set aside for winners of the Isle of Man Marathon Championships.
CFO to take part in race
Altenar’s chief financial officer, John Quaye, is set to run in this year’s marathon, continuing his personal involvement in the event alongside the company’s sponsorship commitment.
Quaye said the company had enjoyed being part of what he described as a meaningful local tradition, adding that Altenar was pleased to confirm its role as official sponsor for at least two more years. He said the firm took pride in supporting its community and taking part in events of this kind.
Wider sporting investment
Alongside the marathon sponsorship, Altenar has also agreed a new deal to back the Isle of Man’s Gran Fondo cycling race, extending its presence in the island’s sporting calendar as part of its corporate social responsibility goals.
Founded in 2011, Altenar is a turnkey sportsbook provider that says it focuses on tailoring its solutions for different markets and building long-term partnerships within the iGaming sector.
