Apex Group to provide ETP servicing for WisdomTree in Jersey and Ireland

WisdomTree has appointed Apex Group to handle management company, corporate and exchange traded product servicing for its issuers in Jersey and Ireland.

Apex Group has been appointed by WisdomTree, a global financial innovator with more than $115bn in assets under management, to deliver management company, corporate services and exchange traded product (ETP) servicing for its issuers in Jersey and Ireland.

The appointment, announced on 8 April 2025, has seen Apex Group onboard $25bn in ETP assets across the two jurisdictions over the past year. The deal forms part of Apex Group’s wider push to build out its service offering in the ETP sector, where it provides corporate services and management company support across multiple asset classes with the aim of streamlining operations and reducing costs for issuers.

Technology and compliance focus

Apex Group said it uses customised technology to maintain an end-to-end audit trail throughout the ETP lifecycle, supporting transparency and compliance. The company also pointed to a dedicated team with experience managing the operational complexities associated with ETPs.

John Bohan, head of business development for Ireland at Apex Group, said the appointment reflected the firm’s 15 years of experience servicing large ETP issuers in Europe, adding that its global reach and broad range of financial services made it well placed to support complex ETP structures.

Rafi Aviav, chief operating officer for Europe at WisdomTree, said operational support remained a priority as the business continues to grow, and that Apex Group’s expertise and infrastructure would help meet its evolving needs.

Apex Group, founded in Bermuda in 2003, provides fund and asset servicing across the value chain, including capital raising, corporate management, fund and investor administration, and ESG support, employing more than 13,000 staff globally. WisdomTree offers a range of ETPs and investment solutions spanning equity, commodity, fixed income and other strategies, and currently manages approximately $117bn in assets worldwide.
