Evoplay adds Mega Merry Gifts to holiday slot lineup
Evoplay has released Mega Merry Gifts, a Christmas-themed video slot featuring expanding Mega Symbols and a bonus buy option, as part of its festive game portfolio.
Game developer Evoplay launched Mega Merry Gifts on 3 December 2024, a holiday-themed slot built around a 5x3 reel layout. The title features a Christmas setting with characters including Mr. and Mrs. Claus, an Elf and Rudolf, alongside wreath symbols and gift bags that serve as Wilds.
The game’s central mechanic is its Free Spins Mega Symbols, 3x3 blocks that can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 during every free spin round. These blocks can contain pay symbols, Wilds or Mega Free Spin symbols, and trigger automatically without additional conditions.
Free spins and bonus mechanics
Extra spins are awarded either through single symbols worth +3 or +5 spins, or via a Mega Free Spins symbol that adds +9 spins. Evoplay said the mechanic is designed to build anticipation and increase potential payouts during bonus rounds.
The title also includes a Bonus Buy option, letting players purchase 10 free spins for 72 times their total stake, along with a Bonus Chance feature that doubles the probability of triggering the free spins round organically.
Seasonal strategy
Ivan Kravchuk, chief executive at Evoplay, said the release was designed to reflect the festive period through its gameplay mechanics and win potential. He added that the title was intended to give operator partners a seasonal product that meets player demand and supports retention during the holiday period.
Mega Merry Gifts adds to Evoplay’s wider portfolio, which the studio says spans more than 250 slot, table, crash and instant games.
