Evoplay releases Easter-themed spin-off of fishing slot The Greatest Catch

Evoplay, the iGaming games developer, has released The Easter Catch on 18 March 2025, a limited seasonal edition of its established fishing-themed slot The Greatest Catch.

The new title keeps the mechanics of the original game but applies an Easter-themed visual design.

Gameplay features

The Easter Catch runs on a 5x3 reel grid with 10 paylines. Bonus symbols can land anywhere during the base game, and landing three or more scatters triggers the Free Spins feature, awarding 10, 15 or 20 free spins depending on how many scatters appear.

During Free Spins, Wild symbols substitute for other symbols and fill buoys on a progress bar. Collecting four buoys awards an additional 10 free spins and increases the multiplier applied to the Fishing feature, rising through x2, x3 and x10 across three tiers of buoy collection.

The Fishing feature is triggered when Wild and Fish symbols appear together on the reels, with Wilds collecting the value of nearby fish symbols and adding it to the total win. Where a Wild lands without an accompanying fish, the Dynamite feature can activate instead, converting up to six random symbols into fish symbols to create further winning combinations.

A Bonus Buy option is also available, letting players pay to access 10, 15 or 20 Free Spins directly rather than triggering the feature through gameplay.

Comment

Ivan Kravchuk, chief executive of Evoplay, said the release was designed to give a seasonal update to one of the studio’s established titles while retaining the gameplay mechanics that made the original popular, and reflects the company’s broader approach of refreshing its portfolio with new thematic variants.

Evoplay describes itself as an iGaming developer with a portfolio of more than 250 slot, table, crash and instant games.
