Greentube Extends Loteriesport.lu Rollout with Online VLTs and Sports Betting

Greentube, the digital gaming and entertainment division of NOVOMATIC, has expanded its partnership with Loterie Nationale Luxembourg by launching online VLT games and sports betting on Loteriesport.lu, the operator’s digital platform.

The rollout represents the second phase of an integration built on Greentube’s server-based gaming system, Greentube Plurius. It allows players to access the same sports betting content online that was previously only available at retail terminals. The first phase, completed last year, introduced land-based VLT and sports betting terminals for the Luxembourg lottery operator.

Full omnichannel solution due next year

Greentube said a complete 360-degree version of the Plurius platform is scheduled to go live in 2025, which is expected to give Loterie Nationale Luxembourg further data and insights to tailor products to its customer base.

The partnership followed a competitive tender process in which Greentube was selected to supply its omnichannel technology to the state-owned lottery operator, seeing off other industry suppliers.

The Plurius system is designed to connect land-based terminals to a central platform, enabling operators to track games played across online servers. It also supports features such as deposits, cross-channel promotions and player tracking tools.

European lottery footprint

Greentube already supplies its technology to several national lottery operators in Europe, including those in Austria, Greece and Norway. The company is an associate member of the European Lotteries association and holds World Lottery Association Security Standard certification.

According to Greentube, the Plurius platform currently supports close to 60 games across land-based VLT and online channels, with a new title planned for release each week as part of the Luxembourg deployment.

Georg Gubo, chief operating officer at Greentube, said the Plurius technology aims to deliver a consistent player experience across channels and that the company looks forward to completing the full 360-degree integration later this year. He added that the platform offers operators real-time monitoring, accounting tools and usage insights adaptable to different markets.

Léon Losch, chief executive of Loterie Nationale Luxembourg, described the continued development of Loteriesport.lu as a significant step for the organisation, citing confidence in Greentube’s experience with lottery integrations to support the evolving needs of its customers and operator partners.
