Hot Rise Games and Yggdrasil launch ocean-themed slot Dolphin Hot 1
The latest release under the YGG Masters partnership brings an underwater theme and expanding sticky symbol mechanic to the Hot 1 series.
Hot Rise Games, a partner of ReelPlay, has released Dolphin Hot 1 in collaboration with Yggdrasil, the latest title to emerge from their ongoing YGG Masters partnership, launched on 8th October 2024.
The game is set beneath calm ocean waters and features a cast of sea creatures including orcas, turtles, octopuses and seahorses alongside a dolphin symbol that functions as a 2x wild.
Gameplay mechanics
Landing three or more bonus symbols triggers seven free spins. During this round, any bonus symbols that appear become sticky, gradually building up a collection on the reels.
The final spin of the round is designated the Hot 1 spin, during which all sticky symbols convert into wilds. Should further bonus symbols land during this spin, they too become sticky and an additional Hot 1 spin is awarded, extending the round and its win potential.
The slot runs on GATI, Yggdrasil’s proprietary technology platform, which the company says allows partners to use a standardised, regulation-ready development toolkit to produce and distribute content more efficiently.
Comment from the companies
Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said the game combines a relaxed atmosphere with mounting excitement once its bonus features are triggered, describing it as balancing calm visuals with the potential for significant payouts.
David Johnson, chief executive of ReelPlay, said the release extends Hot Rise’s Hot 1 series and follows closely behind the studio’s earlier launch of the first title in its 24K Gold series. He said the Hot 1 mechanic builds anticipation during bonus features and is designed to encourage repeat play for both players and operators, adding that Hot Rise continues to establish itself among quality studios in the sector.
Yggdrasil, founded in 2013, is headquartered in Sweden with additional offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar. The company operates the YGG Masters programme alongside its GATI technology and BOOST promotional toolset.
