Light & Wonder Brings The Wizard of Oz Slots to BetMGM Casino

Light & Wonder, Inc. has launched an online slot based on The Wizard of Oz exclusively at BetMGM Casino, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences. The announcement was made on 5 March 2025.

The title, The Wizard of Oz – Over the Rainbow, is a 5x4 video slot featuring characters from the film including Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion and the Tin Man. It includes bonus mechanics such as Balloon Jackpots, respins and free spins, alongside a Glinda the Good Witch feature that can randomly convert reels into wild symbols and trigger additional character-based bonuses.

Jackpot structure

Players can trigger a Balloon Jackpot worth 100 times their stake by landing State Fair symbols in the base game, while five Over the Rainbow jackpot symbols award a top prize of 1,000 times the bet.

The game is currently live at BetMGM Casino in New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania in the US, as well as in Ontario, Canada. According to Light & Wonder, this is the first of several Wizard of Oz-branded slot titles due for release across 2025 and 2026, extending a franchise the company says has already proven popular in land-based casinos into the online space.

Light & Wonder said all games distributed through its content marketplace, including this title, are supported by responsible gambling tools designed to promote safer play.
