Live88 adds Loot Boxes feature to casino product

Live88 has launched a Loot Boxes feature as part of its casino offering, aimed at boosting player engagement through in-game purchases, the supplier announced on 26th November 2024.

The feature lets players purchase Loot Boxes in exchange for prizes that can be worth more or less than the box’s purchase price. Each box can contain up to 20 items, with rewards available in either monetary or physical form.

Operators can select from a range of default Loot Box options or commission custom versions, including bespoke designs, images and branding to align with their platform. Live88 said operators also have the option to run promotions by giving away free Loot Boxes, adding further flexibility to how the feature can be used to engage players.

Latest addition to engagement tools

The Loot Boxes feature forms part of Live88’s broader range of player engagement tools, which the company says are intended to support operators in retaining and monetising their player base.

Taago Tamm, Chief Product Officer at Live88, said the feature was designed to help operators generate revenue while keeping players engaged, adding that the customisable nature of the Loot Boxes allows operators to tailor the experience for their customers alongside the company’s existing casino product.

Live88 launched in 2020 and describes itself as a live casino brand focused on delivering premium, VIP-style gaming experiences through its portfolio of live casino titles.
