Pragmatic Play debuts live poker with Casino Hold'em launch
Pragmatic Play has expanded into live poker with the launch of Casino Hold'em, the first of two new titles that will include Jacks or Better Draw Poker in July.
Pragmatic Play has entered the live poker segment with the launch of Casino Hold’em, its first title in the format, released on 18 June 2025. A second game, Jacks or Better Draw Poker, is due to follow at the start of July.
Casino Hold’em sees players compete against the dealer, with the best five-card hand determined from two hole cards and five community cards. Jacks or Better Draw Poker deals players five cards, allowing them to hold or discard cards in an attempt to build the strongest possible hand.
Jackpot side bet
Both titles include an optional jackpot side bet offering wins of up to 20,000x, triggered by a straight, four of a kind, or straight flush appearing on the flop. According to the supplier, the maximum jackpot payout is expected to occur roughly every 45 days.
Customisation options
Operators will be able to tailor both games through Pragmatic Play’s Smart Studio tool, which allows for branded environments and bespoke live casino experiences.
Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play, said the addition of poker marks a new direction for the company’s live casino portfolio, citing the combination of fast-paced gameplay, high jackpot potential and Smart Studio customisation as key features of the new titles.
The launch forms part of a wider expansion of Pragmatic Play’s live casino output, with further poker titles reportedly planned as part of the same series.
