Pragmatic Play launches Brick House Bonanza slot with upgrading grid mechanic

Pragmatic Play has added Brick House Bonanza to its slots portfolio, a title built around a mechanic that sees grid positions progressively upgrade during play to increase potential returns.

The 5x3 game awards six free spins when scatters land in six or more positions during the base game. Each scattered position starts marked with a straw square, which upgrades first to wood and then to brick as further scatters land in the same spot. Once a position is fully upgraded, any additional scatter landing there instead upgrades a different, randomly chosen square.

Bonus mechanics

Should every position on the reels reach brick status, a 10x bet multiplier is triggered for each further scatter hit. At the close of the bonus round, marked squares turn into houses revealing cash values, offering the possibility of wins up to 10,000x the stake. Landing at least three scatters during the feature also grants an extra free spin.

A separate Wheel Bonus can be triggered when three or more Wheel Bonus symbols appear in the base game, randomly awarding a fixed jackpot or one of three additional free spin features. These include Mega Bank, which produces larger scatters on the reels, Windmill, which marks or upgrades positions from left to right, and Brick House, which upgrades the positions of Wheel Bonus symbols to brick.

In select markets, players will have the option to pay for direct entry into either the free spins round or the Wheel Bonus feature.
