Pragmatic Play Sends Big Bass Franchise Back to the Track

Pragmatic Play, a content supplier to the iGaming industry, has released Big Bass Return to the Races, the newest title in its long-running Big Bass franchise, on 24th February 2025.

The 5x3 video slot returns the series’ fisherman character to a horse racing setting. Landing three to five scatter symbols triggers entry into one of two bonus rounds, while a random feature gives players who land only two scatters a chance to reveal a third.

Bonus Mechanics

Before the bonus round starts, players select one of 12 face-down cards. Revealing a Bonus card grants between 10 and 20 free spins, with the total depending on how many scatters triggered the feature. A Golden Cup card instead awards 10 free spins in a separate Golden Cup round, during which only money symbols, wilds and blanks appear on the reels.

In both bonus formats, collecting every fourth wild retriggers the feature, adding ten more free spins and applying an escalating win multiplier of 2x, 3x and 10x on the first, second and third retriggers respectively.

Part of a Wider Franchise

Big Bass Return to the Races follows earlier entries in the series, including Bigger Bass Splash and Big Bass Bonanza 3 Reeler.

Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play, said the new release brings the franchise’s fisherman to the race track in pursuit of wins reaching up to 5,000 times the stake.
