Rank Group debuts Mecca Cash Strike in first branded cross-channel launch
Rank Group has launched Mecca Cash Strike, its first branded cross-channel exclusive, releasing the game simultaneously across Mecca Bingo venues and its online platform.
Rank Group launched Mecca Cash Strike on 25 March, marking the first time the operator has released a branded game exclusive across both its retail and online channels at the same time.
The title combines Blueprint Gaming’s Cash Strike mechanics with the Mecca Bingo brand, which has operated in the UK since the 1960s. The game is built around a 3x3 grid and features Cash Collect mechanics alongside a respin function intended to increase the potential for larger wins, available both online and in Mecca Bingo venues.
Cross-channel strategy
Robert Lee, Head of Mecca Brands at Rank Group, said Blueprint Gaming’s Cash Strike portfolio was popular with Mecca’s player base, making the partnership a natural fit. He added that cross-channel activity is central to Mecca’s strategy, with promotions planned to support gameplay across both venues and the online platform.
Jack Lawson, Account Manager at Blueprint Gaming, said the collaboration reflected Mecca Bingo’s position in the UK retail and online slots market, noting that combined branding across both retail and online titles is uncommon in the sector.
Mecca Bingo, owned by Rank Group Plc, operates 50 bingo clubs in Great Britain alongside its online site and app, and supports charity partner Carers Trust through both channels. Rank Group’s wider operations include Grosvenor Casinos, Enracha in Spain, Rank Interactive and YoBingo.
Blueprint Gaming, founded in 2009 and part of Germany’s Gauselmann Group, holds licences from the UKGC, AGCC, MGA and GRA, and supplies games across multiple regulated European markets.
