Playson debuts new 3x5x3 reel layout with Crown Strike: Hold and Win
Playson has launched Crown Strike: Hold and Win, a slot featuring a new expanded reel structure and multiple bonus mechanics designed to boost win potential.
Playson, the digital entertainment supplier, has released Crown Strike: Hold and Win, a slot title built around a new 3x5x3 reel configuration. The layout, offering 15 paylines, expands the game grid to allow up to five Striking Crown symbols to appear on the middle reel.
The Striking Crown symbols function as a Collect Feature in both the base game and Bonus Games, gathering the value of Bonus symbols that appear on the reels. Bonus symbols carry fixed multipliers of up to 12x, while four in-game jackpot symbols range in value from 15x (Mini) up to 1,000x (Grand).
Additional features
The game also includes a Pile of Diamonds Feature, which can randomly trigger the Bonus Game when a Bonus symbol lands during base play, adding extra Bonus or Striking Crown symbols to the reels.
In markets where permitted, players can access two Bonus Buy options: one granting entry to a standard Bonus Game containing one or more Striking Crowns, and another unlocking a Super Bonus Game featuring three or more Striking Crowns.
According to Playson, the release reflects the company’s ongoing development of its Hold and Win mechanic, aiming to offer new structural variations within that genre for both players and operators.
Tamas Kusztos, chief commercial officer at Playson, said the title introduces a distinctive game field structure to the company’s portfolio, combining new features with the expanded layout to create what he described as a fresh and rewarding experience. He added that the studio expects the game to resonate strongly across its operator network.
Playson operates in 26 regulated markets with more than 200 partners worldwide. The company holds licences from regulators including the UK Gambling Commission, ONJN, HGC, SGA, AGCO, GRA, MinCetur and SPA, along with a recognition notice from the MGA.
