ReelPlay launches fishing-themed slot Giga Bass GigaBlox

ReelPlay, a partner in Yggdrasil’s YGG Masters programme, has launched Giga Bass GigaBlox, a fishing-themed slot title offering a maximum win potential of more than 10,000 times a player’s stake.

The six-reel game uses Yggdrasil’s GigaBlox Game Engagement Mechanic (GEM), which allows oversized symbols to land in 2x2 or 4x4 formations. These trigger winning combinations and cascade sequences, with at least one GigaBlox symbol guaranteed on every base game spin. These symbols can also appear as wilds or scatters.

Bass symbols and free spins

The game features special bass symbols that display cash values when they land on the reels. If a wild appears alongside them, all visible values are combined into a single payout.

A Free Spins round is triggered when five or more scatter symbols appear anywhere on the reels, with the number of free spins awarded matching the number of scatters landed. Every spin within the feature guarantees at least one wild symbol. Players also have the option to buy directly into the Free Spins feature rather than triggering it organically.

Built on Yggdrasil’s GATI platform

Giga Bass GigaBlox runs on GATI, Yggdrasil’s development platform designed to give partners a standardised, regulation-ready toolkit for producing and distributing new game content.

Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said fishing games remain a core genre for slot studios and described GigaBlox as one of the company’s strongest-performing GEMs, adding that its use in this title creates strong win potential and player engagement.

David Johnson, chief executive of ReelPlay, said the release combines the studio’s approach to art, animation and sound design with a Yggdrasil mechanic that has a track record of delivering returns for operators and players alike.

The title is now available across Yggdrasil’s network of operator partners.
