Spribe Vows to Fight IP Infringement Claims Over Aviator Crash Game

Spribe, the developer behind the Aviator crash game, has issued a statement reaffirming its intellectual property rights amid a legal dispute in Georgia over use of the game’s branding.

The company, which created Aviator in 2018, says it remains the sole global owner of the game and holds trademark registrations covering its logo. Spribe states that Aviator has been the leading title in the crash game category for more than five years, certified in over 30 jurisdictions and played by more than 42 million users monthly across roughly 5,000 operator brands. It has also struck partnerships with organisations including UFC, WWE and AC Milan.

Dispute with Aviator LLC

According to Spribe, a Georgian company named Aviator LLC brought claims last year relating specifically to use of the Aviator logo within Georgia, rather than to the underlying game itself. Spribe describes these claims as unfounded and opportunistic.

A Georgian city court ruled against Spribe in August last year, a decision the company is appealing and which has not been enforced. Spribe says it has identified irregularities in the legal process, pointing to independent international concerns over transparency in Georgia’s courts, including US sanctions imposed on Georgian court officials in 2023.

Copycat allegations

Spribe alleges that Aviator LLC has attempted to launch a copycat version of its game through PopOK Gaming’s platform, which it says represents further evidence of bad-faith conduct aimed at appropriating its commercial goodwill.

The company said it firmly rejects Aviator LLC’s allegations and will pursue legal action against any operator or partner found to be hosting or distributing counterfeit versions of its game.

Spribe, founded in 2018 and headquartered in Warsaw, develops iGaming products and operates offices in Ukraine, Poland, Estonia and Georgia.
