Thunderkick brings back Old West trio in The Wildos 2
Thunderkick has launched The Wildos 2, a follow-up to its 2023 slot that raises maximum win potential to 10,000x with new multiplier and bonus mechanics.
Stockholm-based studio Thunderkick has released The Wildos 2, a sequel to its 2023 title The Wildos, adding new features that lift the game’s maximum win potential from 6,250x to 10,000x.
The slot is played on an expanded 4x5 grid set in the American Frontier and centres on tiered Wild Multipliers appearing on reels two, three and four. Bronze multipliers range from 1x to 3x, Silver from 5x to 8x, and Gold from 10x to 25x.
New mechanics
A Bounty Poster feature has been introduced, in which the colour of the bandit shown on a wanted poster determines which tier of Wild Multiplier is distributed across the reels. Green posters award up to four Bronze multipliers, red up to five Silver, and blue up to five Gold.
Landing three dynamite scatter symbols triggers a Bonus Choice, letting players pick between 12 Bronze, 9 Silver or 6 Gold Free Spins. A Random Bonus option is also available, awarding between six and 12 Free Spins with a randomly selected multiplier tier. During Free Spins, all Wild Multipliers can appear, though only the chosen tier remains sticky for the round.
A Super Bonus can be triggered either via the Random Bonus or by landing at least one Super Scatter on a triggering spin. This unlocks the maximum 12 Free Spins, during which Bronze, Silver and Gold Wild Multipliers all remain sticky.
Franchise development
Thunderkick said The Wildos 2 forms part of its wider strategy of revisiting and refining established game brands. Mike Collins, Game Product Owner at Thunderkick, said the sequel keeps the adventurous tone of the original while building on it with upgraded features and refined mathematics and visuals, adding that the studio expects the release to strengthen the franchise further.
Thunderkick was founded in 2012 and now employs more than 80 people, developing titles distributed through its own Remote Gaming Server to operators including Bet365, William Hill, LeoVegas, 888 Casino, Mr Green, PokerStars Casino, ComeOn, Unibet and Betsson.
