Yggdrasil and AceRun launch Egyptian-themed slot Book Extreme

Yggdrasil has launched Book Extreme, the newest title in its YGG Masters programme created by studio partner AceRun. The game merges the classic Egyptian slot theme with the popular ‘book’ game mechanic, offering high volatility gameplay across ten paylines and a maximum win multiplier of 10,092.

The slot centres on a pharaoh overseeing a set of sacred books that drive the game’s core features. Landing three or more of the book symbols triggers the Book Game feature, which awards a wheel spin for extra prizes. Landing a further three books during this round retriggers the feature. The book symbols also function as wilds during the base game, expanding and substituting for other symbols to boost win potential.

Built on Yggdrasil’s GATI platform

Book Extreme runs on Yggdrasil’s GATI technology, a standardised, regulation-ready development toolkit designed to help studio partners create and distribute new content quickly across Yggdrasil’s network.

Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said the release combines two well-established game genres, pairing AceRun’s classic gameplay style with a high-volatility structure intended to deliver an engaging player experience.

Jeroen van der Heijden, Head of Development at AceRun, said the studio had applied its own creative approach to the traditional book-game format, using expanding wilds and free spin retriggers to maximise player engagement and provide operators with a dependable revenue driver.

The release was issued by Yggdrasil, which was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Sweden, with additional offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar. The company operates the YGG Masters programme alongside its proprietary GATI technology and Game Engagement Mechanics (GEM) portfolio.
