Yggdrasil and HungryBear launch mob-themed slot Mafioso
Yggdrasil has released Mafioso, a new cluster pays slot from YGG Masters partner HungryBear that offers wins of up to 5,000x stake.
Yggdrasil has launched Mafioso, a crime-themed slot developed by YGG Masters partner HungryBear Gaming, offering a maximum win of 5,000x the player’s stake.
The 6x6 title uses a cluster pays mechanic combined with a free spins bonus and a feature called Hot-Zones, which can trigger wilds, multipliers and instant cash prizes.
How Hot-Zones work
Hot-Zones appear on the grid during both base play and free spins, ranging in size from 2x2 up to the full 6x6 grid. If at least one safe symbol lands within an active zone, wild symbols and multiplier-value coin symbols are awarded. These can be collected through a respin or converted into an instant 500x prize, with all Hot-Zone wins multiplied according to the number of safe symbols in play.
Landing three or more bonus scatter symbols anywhere on the reels automatically triggers the free spins round. During free spins, a Hot-Zone remains active throughout, starting at 2x2 and expanding in size whenever a safe symbol lands inside it, which also awards three additional spins. Players also have the option to buy directly into the bonus for 75x their stake, receiving between 10 and 20 free spins.
Mafioso runs on GATI, Yggdrasil’s proprietary development platform, which the supplier says allows partner studios to build regulation-ready content using a standardised toolkit for faster distribution across markets.
