Altenar launches Ganagol pool betting tool for LatAm operators

Altenar, the sportsbook and iGaming software provider, has introduced a new version of Ganagol, a pool-style betting product designed to sit alongside traditional sports wagering and boost player engagement and loyalty for operators.

Rather than betting on single events, Ganagol requires players to pay an entry fee to predict the outcomes of a series of football fixtures. Correctly forecasting all results secures the largest prize, while matching a set number of outcomes earns smaller rewards. The format is also known as Toto in some markets.

Customisable format

Operators using the tool can tailor the game to their needs, choosing between formats based on match results or correct scores. Payout structures can also be configured, including weekly prize distributions or rollover jackpots. A portion of entry fees can be funnelled into the prize categories, allowing the pot to grow alongside participation numbers.

Players additionally have the option to predict the total range of goals scored across the selected fixtures, adding another layer of engagement to the format.

LatAm focus

Altenar said the release is intended to give operators a point of differentiation as they look to expand internationally, noting that the product has proved particularly popular in Latin American markets.

Dinos Doxiadis, Sportsbook Product Development Manager at Altenar, said the update builds on a product that has already seen strong adoption in LatAm, adding that the new functionality gives operators more tools to drive user engagement, retention and acquisition. He described it as one of the most advanced offerings of its type in the industry.
