BetVictor Canada takes safer gambling message to Toronto streets with Tracy McGrady campaign
BetVictor Canada has launched an out-of-home advertising drive featuring NBA legend Tracy McGrady, timed to coincide with Problem Gambling Awareness Month.
BetVictor Canada launched a new out-of-home advertising campaign in Toronto on 26 March 2025, using former NBA star Tracy McGrady in his role as the operator’s Safer Gambling Ambassador.
The campaign features two mobile digital trucks positioned near Scotiabank Arena and Rogers Centre, targeting fans attending Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and Toronto Blue Jays home games. The trucks are intended to reach high-traffic areas around major sporting fixtures in the city.
Taxi tops extend reach
To widen the campaign’s visibility, BetVictor Canada partnered with Clear Media Group to place branded messaging on 100 digital taxi tops across Toronto. These displays run during peak evening hours between 5pm and 9pm on selected dates up to 5 April 2025.
The timing of the campaign aligns with Problem Gambling Awareness Month, a nationwide initiative held every March to raise public awareness of problem gambling and support prevention, treatment and recovery efforts.
Safer gambling tools highlighted
BetVictor Canada offers a range of tools designed to support responsible betting and gaming across its sports betting and online casino products, including loss limits, time alerts and product restrictions.
Mark Harper, Head of Emerging Markets at BV Group, said BetVictor was pleased to take part in the National Council of Problem Gambling’s March campaign, and that using McGrady as Safer Gambling Ambassador was intended to raise awareness of the tools available to help customers gamble safely.
