Celestar launches Malta-based slot studio with MGA B2B licence
New slot provider Celestar has gone live with a Malta headquarters and an MGA B2B licence, aiming to supply operators and aggregators across Europe.
A new slot studio, Celestar, launched on 9 June, entering the market with a Malta headquarters and a freshly granted MGA B2B licence that allows its certified games to be distributed in the jurisdiction.
The company was founded by a mix of industry veterans, described as having more than 20 years of experience, alongside younger creative staff. Celestar says its games combine bonus mechanics, storytelling and visual design, with the aim of appealing to both experienced players and newcomers.
Distribution ambitions
Based in Malta, Celestar said its location is intended to support partnerships with operators, aggregators and platforms as it seeks wider distribution for its portfolio.
The MGA B2B licence marks the studio’s first regulatory milestone, enabling its titles to launch in that market as the business establishes itself in the sector.
Leadership comment
Vassilis Trochalidis, chief executive of Celestar, said the company’s goal is to create slots that function as experiences rather than one-off plays, with the intention of encouraging repeat engagement through new features and themes. He described the MGA licence as an important milestone for the studio as it begins building its portfolio.
Celestar positions itself as focused on delivering slot titles built on varied mechanics and themes, drawing on the experience of its founding team.
