Codere Online has revealed a new sponsorship agreement with Club de Fútbol Monterrey, popularly known as Rayados, ahead of the club’s participation in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. The announcement, made on 19 May 2025, coincides with the launch of a commemorative jersey marking Monterrey’s 80th anniversary, produced in partnership with kit manufacturer Puma.

Under the deal, the Codere logo will appear exclusively on the front of Monterrey’s shirt throughout the 32-team tournament, which organisers are billing as the largest Club World Cup to date. Codere Online said it would also provide fan experiences tied to the club’s participation in the competition.

To support the announcement, Codere Online and Monterrey are running a joint advertising campaign across multiple media channels, which began on the day of the announcement and is set to continue in the following months. As part of the campaign, an advertisement was projected on the Nasdaq Tower in New York’s Times Square on an hourly basis throughout the day.

Four-year partnership

Alberto Telias, chief marketing officer at Codere Online, said the company has worked with Monterrey for the past four years and pointed to the club’s performances in Liga MX and international competitions as a factor in extending the relationship. He added that the partnership has helped strengthen Codere’s presence in Mexico through its Codere.mx platform.

Pedro Esquivel, executive president of Club de Fútbol Monterrey, said the Club World Cup represented an important international platform for the club during its 80th anniversary year, and welcomed the continued backing of Codere as a globally recognised brand.

Codere Online, listed on Nasdaq under CDRO and CDROW, operates online sports betting and casino products across Spain and Latin America, including Mexico, Colombia, Panama and Buenos Aires. The company forms part of Codere Group, which has operated in the gaming and leisure sector for four decades across seven countries in Europe and Latin America.
