Greentube Rolls Out Gang Wars Slot With Territory-Control Bonus Round

Greentube, the digital gaming division of NOVOMATIC, has released Gang Wars, a new slot title in which four colour-coded factions compete for control of the reels.

The five-reel game pits the Spirits (red), the Chains (blue), the Clubs (green) and the Dames (yellow) against each other, each represented by their own gangster symbols and boss character.

Base Game Mechanics

During standard play, Mystery Stacks can appear on reels one to four, transforming into any paying symbol except the OG symbol. When more than one Mystery Stack lands, a re-spin is triggered with the existing stacks held in place while the other reels spin again.

The Gang Wars Bonus is activated when three Molotov Cocktail scatter symbols land on reels one, three and five, awarding ten free spins.

Free Spins and Territory Control

In the bonus round, the four gangs battle for control of the grid, with territory shifting as coloured symbols land. A crown icon indicates which gang currently holds the advantage. The faction controlling the largest share of the grid when the round ends wins the accumulated multiplier for its colour, with boss multipliers starting between 2x and 10x. Should a single gang take over the entire middle reel by the end of the round, players receive three extra free spins.

Throughout the feature, gang symbols land on the grid and colour the fields they occupy while also contributing multipliers ranging from +1 to +100. Mystery Symbols return during this round but only land on already-coloured fields, adding +2, +5 or +10 to that gang’s multiplier total, or occasionally doubling the multiplier collected so far.

Bernd Baumert, Director of Games Production and Operations at Greentube, said the title combines Mystery Stack mechanics with a territory-based free spins structure, aiming to give players a fast-paced and unpredictable experience centred on rivalry between the gangs.
