Lightning Box adds EggLink jackpot mechanic to 100x Ra slot
Light & Wonder studio Lightning Box has launched EggLink 100x Ra, a progressive jackpot update to one of its best-known titles, exclusively for BetMGM's US online players.
Light & Wonder has released EggLink 100x Ra, a new version of Lightning Box’s Egyptian-themed slot that incorporates the studio’s progressive EggLink Jackpots mechanic. The title is available exclusively to BetMGM’s online players in the US.
The game retains the core structure of the original 100x Ra, a 3x5 slot themed around a mythical Egyptian world, while adding new features built around the EggLink system. The Free Games round from the original title carries over, expanding the grid to 4x5 during bonus play.
Free games and multipliers
Landing three or four bonus symbols triggers seven free games at Level 1. During free spins, Wild Ra symbols act as multipliers, capable of boosting wins up to 10 times the stake. Players who progress to Level 6 or beyond, aided by Level Up symbols, can see Wild Ra multipliers combine for wins of up to 100 times the bet. Two Level Up symbols advance players a level, unlocking higher multiplier potential.
EggLink jackpot mechanic
The EggLink addition introduces a fox character that collects prizes from a chicken coop, including Grand and Major jackpots, during a feature called the Egg Drop. The Suck Eggs Bonus activates when six or more Scatter Eggs appear, awarding eight bonus spins. During this round, the fox gathers Golden Scatter Eggs alongside Mini and Major Jackpot symbols, with totals added to the final payout.
A weathervane appearing during the bonus round can award up to five additional bonus spins, doubling to ten if two weathervanes land. A Bonus Buy option also lets players purchase direct entry into the Suck Eggs Bonus from the base game, or buy into the 100x Ra free games feature.
Second EggLink release
EggLink 100x Ra follows EggLink ChickenFox, the first title to use the mechanic, which launched in May. Michael Maokhamphiou, Studio Director at Lightning Box, said the addition of EggLink to one of the studio’s most popular titles was expected to increase its appeal further, particularly as it enters the US market via BetMGM.
Rob Procter, VP of Game Development at Light & Wonder, said the original 100x Ra, released in 2021, remains a prominent part of the company’s portfolio thanks to its Level Up free games feature, and that the EggLink addition was designed to refresh the title for players.
