NCAA Extends Genius Sports Data Partnership to 2032
The NCAA and Genius Sports have agreed a long-term extension covering official data distribution to sportsbooks, an AI analytics platform and expanded integrity measures.
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Genius Sports Limited (NYSE: GENI) have extended their partnership through to 2032, the companies announced on 25 April 2025.
Under the renewed deal, Genius Sports remains the exclusive distributor of official NCAA data to licensed sportsbooks for all post-season tournaments, including March Madness. The agreement is intended to guarantee regulated operators continued access to fast and secure official data feeds.
New licensee scheme and integrity focus
A newly introduced Authorized Gaming Licensee (AGL) programme will give sportsbooks exclusive access to official NCAA data alongside NCAA marks and logos. As part of the arrangement, Genius Sports will work with participating licensees on integrity protections and responsible gambling measures, including restrictions on higher-risk bet types, with the stated aim of protecting student-athletes and ensuring compliance.
LiveStats to stay free, AI platform added
NCAA LiveStats, the association’s live statistics platform, will continue to be provided free to member schools. The service currently supports more than 70,000 games annually across college sports and is used as the core data collection and distribution tool for schools, conferences and coaches.
The partnership also introduces GeniusIQ, an artificial intelligence and machine learning platform designed to build on LiveStats. Genius Sports says the platform will support performance analysis for coaches and schools as well as more interactive, data-driven engagement tools for fans.
Executive comment
Mark Locke, chief executive of Genius Sports, said the extension reflected the company’s role in the college sports data ecosystem since 2018 and would allow it to continue supplying NCAA schools while giving sportsbook partners access to official NCAA content alongside its existing NFL and Premier League rights. He added that the partnership was based on innovation, integrity and a shared commitment to the future of college athletics.
Genius Sports states it operates in more than 150 countries and works with over 400 sports organisations, including the NFL, EPL, FIBA, NASCAR, AFA and Liga MX, alongside the NCAA.
