Odditt Secures Funding Round Led by Four Okes Digital, Adds Dan Malone as Advisor
Sports data and analytics startup Odditt has closed a funding round backed by Four Okes Digital and industry figures including Chris Kape and Ron and Alon Segev, while former DraftKings executive Dan Malone joins as strategic advisor.
Sports data and analytics company Odditt has announced the completion of a funding round closed last autumn, led by Four Okes Digital (FOD), with additional investment from industry figures Chris Kape and Ron and Alon Segev. The company has also appointed former DraftKings executive Dan Malone as a strategic advisor.
Odditt was co-founded by Matt Bresler and Elaine Milardo, who previously held a role at DraftKings. The company provides sports data feeds built on proprietary aggregation technology, drawing on statistics from over 115 leagues and tournaments across more than 45 countries and five sports, alongside contextual data covering venues, teams, players and coaches. It says its data structure spans more than 25 years of historical depth.
Investor and advisor backgrounds
Chris Kape is a serial entrepreneur and former chief executive of Don Best Sports. Ron and Alon Segev are described as established entrepreneurs within the gambling industry. Dan Malone, who previously worked at DraftKings, is set to support Odditt’s go-to-market strategy as the company prepares to launch its first direct-to-consumer app, with a focus on user acquisition, retention and engagement.
Comments from the companies
Ian Macleod, chief executive of Four Okes Digital, said the firm’s decision to invest reflected confidence in Odditt’s founding team and their approach to building data-driven products. He said FOD’s early discussions with Bresler and Milardo left a strong impression regarding their expertise and vision.
Matt Bresler, chief executive of Odditt, said the company had sought investors who could offer more than capital, citing FOD’s experience in marketing and acquisition as a key factor in the partnership. He added that the involvement of Kape, the Segevs and Malone would support Odditt’s continued growth, pointing to their combined background in entrepreneurial leadership and data-driven consumer product strategy.
The funding and advisory appointments come as Odditt moves toward the launch of its first consumer-facing application.
