Pragmatic Play adds cluster-pays slot Aztec Smash with escalating multipliers

Pragmatic Play, a supplier of content to the iGaming sector, launched Aztec Smash on 6 January 2025, adding a new title to its cluster-pays slot range.

The game is played on a 7x7 grid, with wins formed through clusters and tumbling symbols. Random symbols on the reels can be marked with a Smash Multiplier, which boosts the value of any winning cluster containing marked symbols by 10x per marked symbol.

Bonus feature and multiplier growth

Landing between three and seven scatter symbols activates a free spins round offering 10 to 30 spins. Once triggered, the Smash Multiplier begins at 10x and rises in 10x steps with each qualifying win, climbing first to 100x and then up to a maximum of 1,000x.

The free spins feature can also be retriggered during play, adding up to 30 further spins and additional opportunities to reach the game’s maximum payout of 9,000x the stake.

Latest addition to the portfolio

Aztec Smash follows other recent releases from the studio, including Money Stacks Megaways and Mining Rush, continuing Pragmatic Play’s ongoing expansion of its slot catalogue.

Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play, said the release represents the company’s latest cluster-pays title, highlighting its use of randomly marked symbols and escalating multipliers within the jungle-themed setting.

Pragmatic Play is headquartered in Gibraltar and supplies slots, live casino, bingo, virtual sports and sportsbook products to operators across regulated markets worldwide via a single API.
