Spotlight Sports Group and BoyleSports team up on Smart View racecards
Spotlight Sports Group has partnered with Irish bookmaker BoyleSports to bring its Smart View racecard product to bettors ahead of the Cheltenham Festival.
Spotlight Sports Group (SSG) has announced a new partnership with BoyleSports that will see the bookmaker become a digital sportsbook partner for SSG’s Smart View racecard product.
Under the agreement, BoyleSports will roll out Smart View in time for the Cheltenham Festival, giving its customers access to the racecards for all races in Great Britain and Ireland during the event.
About Smart View
Smart View is a racing product developed over several years by SSG, designed to simplify traditional racecards with a cleaner, more accessible layout. The company said the design draws inspiration from video games such as FIFA and Football Manager, and was shaped by feedback gathered through thousands of interviews with both experienced and novice bettors.
The product’s underlying data is built on the Racing Post database and updates dynamically to reflect live track conditions. SSG said the data has been refined by a combination of data scientists, racing experts and self-iterating data processes.
Since its public launch in 2024, Smart View has attracted thousands of daily users. According to SSG, its top-rated selections have returned a profit at each of the last two Cheltenham Festivals when backed to a level stake, and outperformed starting price favourites at the recent Dublin Racing Festival.
Partnership comments
Daniel Guest, Product Director at BoyleSports, said the appeal of Smart View lay in its unique combination of dynamic, historic data and accessibility. He noted that the product draws on 40 years of historic data and input from 3,000 interviews with sports fans, meeting customer demand for informative content presented in an easy-to-read format for both new and experienced bettors.
Sam Houlding, Managing Director B2B for Spotlight Sports Group, said the addition of BoyleSports to its roster of digital partners reflected the racecard’s success, particularly during major festivals, and the company’s broader focus on innovation in sports betting.
BoyleSports, founded by John Boyle in 1982, is Ireland’s largest independently owned bookmaker, operating more than 390 shops across Ireland and the UK. The company also sponsors the Irish Grand National, the richest race in the Irish National Hunt calendar.
