Thunderkick rolls out bowling-themed slot Split Happens

Stockholm-based studio Thunderkick has released Split Happens, a new online slot built around a bowling theme, offering a maximum win potential of 3,000x stake.

The game is played on a 5x3 grid with wins available both ways. Its central mechanic is the Walking Stacked Wild feature, triggered when bowling pin Wild symbols fill reels two, three or four. This awards at least two respins, during which the Wilds become Stacked Wilds and shift one position outward on the grid with each respin, adding to potential wins until they exit the reels.

A further twist, the Split Happens feature, occurs when a Walking Stacked Wild lands on reel three. This splits the symbol in two, placing a Stacked Wild on both reels two and four before respins continue.

Bonus round and multipliers

Collecting three bowling ball scatters in the bonus meter triggers the free spins round, starting with five spins. A multiplier displayed above the reels increases by 1x with every respin and applies to all wins involving a Stacked Wild.

The Power Reset feature comes into play whenever a Stacked Wild lands during the bonus round, resetting the free spins counter back to five while keeping the accumulated multiplier intact, allowing wins to build further.
