White Label Casinos and BGaming back charity gala for Malta neurological home

White Label Casinos and BGaming, together with NEXT.io, are sponsoring the DAR Bjorn Charity Gala, an event aimed at raising funds for a new respite care project run by the DAR Bjorn neurological home in Malta.

The gala will take place at Villa Bighi in Malta on 9 May. Funds raised will go towards completing DAR Bjorn’s Respite initiative, an extension of the charity’s two existing homes in Malta. The new facility will provide short-term care for people with severe neurological conditions such as ALS and MS, as well as temporary relief for their caregivers.

Entertainment and fundraising

The evening will include live music from headline act Versatile and a live art performance by street artist Luis Martins, known as L7Matrix, with the resulting artwork to be auctioned off. Guests will also be entered into a raffle offering a trip to the Norwegian Fjords and another exclusive prize trip. Tickets are on sale ahead of the event.

The gala forms part of a wider corporate social responsibility commitment between White Label Casinos and BGaming, who plan to take part in further fundraising activities across Malta throughout 2025.

Industry reaction

Bjorn Formosa, founder of DAR Bjorn, said the support from the iGaming industry would help the Respite project become a reality, adding that funds raised at this year’s gala would help equip a centre for those living with neurological conditions and their caregivers.

Phil Pearson, chief executive of White Label Casinos, said it was an honour to join BGaming and NEXT.io in supporting the cause, and hoped the collaboration would encourage other companies to get involved.

Marina Ostrovtsova, chief executive of BGaming, said the partnership reflected the power of collaboration to drive change, and expressed confidence that the initiative would help align corporate responsibility with meaningful support for those in need.
