Xpoint to supply geolocation technology to High 5 Casino
Geolocation compliance specialist Xpoint has partnered with social casino operator High 5 Casino to integrate its location verification technology across the operator's North American platform.
Xpoint, a provider of geolocation compliance technology for the gaming sector, has announced a partnership with High 5 Casino, one of the largest social casino operators in North America. The deal, revealed on 24 June, will see High 5 integrate Xpoint’s Lite solution to support compliance with state-level requirements as it grows its US digital presence.
The technology is designed to provide real-time location verification and fraud detection, restricting play to eligible jurisdictions in line with state regulations.
Origins of the deal
According to Xpoint chief executive Manu Gambhir, discussions with High 5 began in October last year, with the integration completed faster than most of the company’s previous deployments. Gambhir said the platform allows operators to determine how and where they meet regulatory obligations, using a range of signals and sensors to verify player location and detect attempts at location fraud.
Gino Fratto, VP of Product at High 5 Casino, said the operator had carried out extensive due diligence before selecting Xpoint, citing the company’s expertise and responsiveness. He said High 5 aims to set a compliance benchmark for the social casino and sweepstakes sector, adding that rigorous geolocation checks should become standard practice across the industry.
Wider platform investment
Xpoint said the partnership follows other operational changes at High 5 Casino, including the rollout of AI-based personalisation tools and an expanded round-the-clock customer support team, both aimed at improving player experience and security.
Xpoint provides geolocation security solutions across sports betting, iGaming, lottery, sweepstakes and daily fantasy sports markets globally, and is backed by venture capital investors in the online gaming space.
