Yggdrasil and Hot Rise Games debut 24K Gold JailBreak with new engagement mechanic
Yggdrasil has released 24K Gold JailBreak, a prison-themed slot developed with ReelPlay partner Hot Rise Games that introduces a new 24K Gold feature mechanic.
Yggdrasil has launched 24K Gold JailBreak, a new slot title created in partnership with Hot Rise Games, part of the ReelPlay network. The game went live on 5th September 2024 as the latest release under Yggdrasil’s YGG Masters programme.
Set in a London prison, the game casts players as an accomplice helping a character named Sticky Fingers Stan attempt to escape. The title introduces the 24K Gold mechanic, making its debut across Yggdrasil’s platform, alongside thousands of ways to win.
New feature mechanic
The game incorporates Hot Rise’s latest player engagement mechanic, which is triggered when 24K Gold icons land on the reels. This unlocks additional potential in the top row, where symbols can convert into stacks, wilds and cascading combinations designed to boost win potential during gameplay.
The release features animation and character design built around the prison escape theme, continuing the visual style associated with Hot Rise Games’ output.
Built on GATI technology
24K Gold JailBreak runs on Yggdrasil’s GATI technology, a standardised, regulation-ready development toolkit that the company says allows partner studios to produce content more efficiently and distribute it more quickly across its network.
Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said the release reflected the strength of the YGG Masters programme in bringing together creative partners to produce new slot content, describing the collaboration with Hot Rise Games and ReelPlay as delivering fast-paced slot action.
David Johnson, chief executive of ReelPlay, said the debut of Hot Rise’s 24K Gold series across Yggdrasil’s operator network builds on the studio’s reputation, citing its feature design and mathematical models as contributing to previous success with its Hot 1 and Versus game families.
