Altenar rolls out new algorithm to cut live betting friction
Sportsbook provider Altenar has introduced a proprietary bet acceptance algorithm designed to reduce rejected live bets caused by odds fluctuations during processing delays.
Altenar has launched a new intelligent bet acceptance logic aimed at strengthening the live betting capabilities of its sportsbook, the company announced on 10 October 2024.
The proprietary algorithm locks in odds while a customer is compiling a bet, allowing the wager to go through even if there is no significant change in the odds during that time. This removes the need for players to restart the betting process when minor price fluctuations occur during a live bet delay.
Reducing rejected bets
According to Altenar, the system is built to filter out friction caused by sudden but insignificant odds movements, meaning bets can still be accepted at the price originally selected by the user. The company said this results in the vast majority of live bets being accepted, provided there is no material change to the underlying event.
Operators can customise the acceptance criteria to suit their own risk and trading strategies, giving them flexibility over how the tool is applied across their sportsbook.
The update follows a series of recent additions to Altenar’s sportsbook platform, including improvements to its Bet Boost feature, the introduction of a new Rewards System, and an expanded esports offering that includes a standalone lobby.
Company comment
Dinos Doxiadis, Altenar’s Sportsbook Product Development Manager, said the new algorithm addresses a longstanding industry issue, adding that when combined with the company’s dynamic live bet delay system, it offers a strong solution to the problem of bet rejections caused by odds changes.
Altenar is a turnkey sportsbook provider founded in 2011. The company says it focuses on tailoring its products to different markets and building long-term partnerships with operators.
