iGP names Jovana Popovic Canaki as new CEO
iGaming platform and aggregator supplier iGP has promoted Deputy CEO Jovana Popovic Canaki to Chief Executive, succeeding Giovanni Paticchio, who becomes Chairman.
iGP, the Malta-based iGaming platform and aggregator supplier, has appointed Jovana Popovic Canaki as its new CEO, the company announced on 14th January 2025. She takes over from Giovanni Paticchio, who moves into the role of Chairman.
Canaki joined iGP as Deputy CEO in June 2024. During her time in that role she oversaw a strategic repositioning of the business, including the discontinuation of iGP’s White Label solution as the company shifts its focus to a purely B2B model.
Her appointment follows a 17-year career in the sector that includes spells at Bragg and Aspire Global, where she worked on partnership development and product launches. iGP notes that her promotion makes her one of a small number of female chief executives leading B2B iGaming businesses.
Product plans for 2025
Commenting on her new role, Canaki said she intended to build on her understanding of operators’ needs gained since joining the company. She pointed to a busy product roadmap for the year ahead, including the planned launch of a new retail and omni-channel solution at ICE, further development of crypto tools introduced in 2024, and continued growth in the number of operators using iGP’s platform and aggregator services.
Paticchio said Canaki had used her time at iGP to engage closely with the business and develop a clear strategic vision, adding that he was confident in her ability to lead the company through its next phase of growth.
