HKJC names Casper Stylsvig Executive Director of Sports Business
The Hong Kong Jockey Club has appointed former Chelsea FC commercial chief Casper Stylsvig to lead its sports business division from January 2026.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has announced the appointment of Casper Stylsvig as Executive Director, Sports Business, effective from 15 January 2026.
Stylsvig will join the Club’s Board of Management and report to Chief Executive Officer Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges. In his new role he will take charge of HKJC’s sports business portfolio, with responsibility for commercial growth across horse racing, football, lottery and other sporting ventures.
Remit and priorities
His brief covers both wagering and non-wagering income streams, including sponsorship and partnership development, strategic marketing and customer engagement. Stylsvig will also lead the Club’s Racecourse Master Plan, described as a multi-billion-dollar undertaking, and will be tasked with identifying new global growth opportunities. He will additionally oversee the sports wagering portfolio, aimed at directing wagering demand towards community benefit.
Football industry background
Stylsvig joins HKJC from Chelsea FC, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer and oversaw a restructuring of the club’s commercial operations alongside a five-year strategic plan. He has previously held senior commercial positions at FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Fulham FC and AC Milan, where he worked on major partnerships and digital transformation projects.
Commenting on the appointment, Stylsvig said the move represented a natural progression in his career, combining football industry best practice with the chance to help shape a multi-sport organisation. He said he was looking forward to working with Engelbrecht-Bresges and the wider team to expand the Club’s international presence.
Stylsvig holds an MBA from Esade Business School Barcelona and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Hertfordshire.
