Sports Information Services has hired former DraftKings and Inspired Entertainment executive Harry Heynes into a newly created role focused on expanding its commercial reach.

SIS names Harry Heynes as Head of New Business

SIS (Sports Information Services), the supplier of round-the-clock live betting content, has appointed Harry Heynes as Head of New Business, the company announced on 13 January 2025.

The newly created position will see Heynes work to widen SIS’s commercial footprint as the supplier continues to expand its global operations and product range, in collaboration with technical partners including Genius Sports, Playtech, EveryMatrix and Altenar.

Heynes brings more than a decade of experience across iGaming, sports betting and payments. He previously served as Director of Business Development at Inspired Entertainment, where he helped secure deals to grow the company’s market presence, and led B2B business development at DraftKings, managing commercial relationships with major data and odds providers.

Timing and market expansion

The appointment comes as SIS extends its esports betting product, SIS Competitive Gaming, into a 12th US state through agreements with bet365 and FanDuel. The supplier already has global distribution deals across its three main product areas and is looking to grow further in Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia.

Leadership comment

Paul Witten, Managing Director EMEA at SIS, said Heynes’s commercial background and track record would help extend the company’s products into new markets and support partner sportsbooks. He added that the newly created role was expected to strengthen SIS’s growth prospects across regulated markets worldwide.

Heynes said he was pleased to join SIS during a period of international growth, noting that the company’s mix of racing, live numbers draws and event-based esports products suited partner needs. He said he was looking forward to meeting partners at ICE Barcelona later this month.

SIS has operated in the live betting content sector for more than 35 years, supplying racing, esports and live numbers draw content to over 400 retail and online customers in more than 50 countries.
