OpenBet to Supply Sportsbook Technology to Loterie Romande
Switzerland's French-speaking region lottery operator has signed a deal with OpenBet to overhaul its digital and retail betting platform.
OpenBet, a betting technology and services supplier, has agreed a partnership with Loterie Romande, the exclusive regulated sports betting operator for Switzerland’s French-speaking cantons, announced on 26 March 2025.
The deal will see OpenBet supply its sportsbook technology across both online and retail channels, while also supporting Loterie Romande’s migration away from its existing platform. OpenBet already works with more than 20 lotteries globally.
Retail and digital integration
As part of the agreement, OpenBet’s digital front-end will be integrated alongside Loterie Romande’s newly developed self-service betting terminals, branded LoRoPlay+, aiming to give players a consistent experience whether betting online or in person.
The partnership also includes access to OpenBet’s Managed Trading Services, which draws on a trading team of more than 100 staff providing round-the-clock coverage. OpenBet’s Trading System will additionally handle feed integration for the operator, supporting real-time data and odds optimisation, along with risk management tools and platform updates.
Compliance focus
Both companies pointed to regulatory compliance and player protection as central to the agreement. Jordan Levin, chief executive of OpenBet, said the partnership underlined the company’s position in the lottery sector and its capabilities in sportsbook technology, risk management and regulatory compliance, including anti-money laundering controls.
Jean-Luc Moner-Banet, chief executive of Loterie Romande, described the choice of OpenBet as a significant step for the organisation, citing the supplier’s technology and commitment to responsible gaming and player welfare as key factors in continuing its sportsbook operations.
OpenBet says it works with more than 200 betting and gaming brands, lotteries, casinos and media companies worldwide, and recently received industry awards including European Safer Gambling Supplier of the Year at the EGR Europe Awards 2025.
