Pragmatic Play wins Brazil certification for sportsbook product
Pragmatic Play has secured full certification to offer its sportsbook solution to regulated operators in Brazil, following the country's introduction of a fixed-odds betting framework earlier this year.
Pragmatic Play has been granted full certification to supply its sportsbook product to operators in Brazil, the company announced on 15 September 2025.
The approval comes after Brazil introduced its fixed-odds betting framework in January 2025, and allows the supplier to offer its complete sportsbook solution within one of the fastest-growing regulated iGaming markets globally.
What operators gain
With the certification in place, licensed Brazilian operators can integrate Pragmatic Play’s sportsbook, which includes pre-match and in-play betting markets built on official rightsholder data, player props and bet builder functionality, alongside features adapted for local bettors.
Operators will also be able to draw on Pragmatic Play’s managed services, covering sports trading, risk management and continuous support.
Latin America expansion
The certification broadens Pragmatic Play’s footprint across Latin America and forms part of its wider strategy to expand its sportsbook offering internationally.
Gareth Crook, SVP of Sports at Pragmatic Play, described the certification as a significant milestone for the company’s sports betting division, noting that it gives operators assurance the product meets Brazil’s regulatory requirements. He added that the company is looking to help operators deliver a compliant and competitive betting product as Brazil establishes itself as a major regulated sports betting market.
Pragmatic Play is a multi-product supplier to the iGaming sector, holding licences from regulators including the Gambling Commission of Great Britain, the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner and the Malta Gaming Authority. The company, headquartered in Gibraltar, is owned by a private investor group led by Veridian (Gibraltar) Limited.
