Yggdrasil enters Belarus through Fonbet partnership

Yggdrasil has entered the Belarusian market for the first time through a new content partnership with operator Fonbet, announced on 30 October 2024.

The deal makes Yggdrasil’s slot library available to Fonbet’s customers in Belarus, including titles such as Vikings Go Berzerk and Raptor DoubleMax. Games from the supplier’s YGG Masters programme, which brings in content from third-party studios under the Yggdrasil brand, are also part of the offering.

Fonbet’s Belarusian presence

Fonbet has operated in Belarus since 2021, running both an online casino and a sportsbook. The company said it was the first operator to bring Yggdrasil’s games to the country.

The launch forms part of Yggdrasil’s ongoing expansion across European markets. Jose Simon, Commercial Director at Yggdrasil, said the company was looking to build quickly on its debut in Belarus by working with an established local partner. Denis Zlotnikov, Business Development Manager at Fonbet, said the tie-up would give the operator’s players access to a wide range of titles from a supplier with a strong track record in Europe.

Yggdrasil, founded in 2013, is headquartered in Sweden with additional offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar. The company’s portfolio also includes its BOOST promotional toolset and a range of Game Engagement Mechanics designed to add variety to its slot titles.
